סיכום שנה שחור.

על אף שהמספרים בשנת 2017 ירדו מעט ביחס למספרים המחרידים בשנת 2016, אנחנו לא רואים בכך בהכרח ניצחון גדול.

מהפן השלילי נאמר כי מספר הימים בים ומספר האניות שהגיעו, נשארו מאד דומים לשנה שעברה.

נאמר גם שהיחס של משרד החקלאות והסוחרים נשאר אדיש עד אלים.

מהפן החיובי נאמר, שלראשונה מאז החלנו לפעול ומאז "המפץ הגדול" של ביטול המכסים על יבוא עגלים, בשנת 2014, אנו רואים בלימה של העליה המטאורית במספרי היבוא. בנוסף, הציבור מתעורר ונרתם למאבק, ואנו תקווה כי כבר השנה נצליח לעצור את המשלוחים החיים!

The summary of a dark year!

Although the number of victims of the live import trade have fallen slightly in 2017 relative to the horrifying numbers in 2016, we do not necessarily see this as a major victory, nor milestone.

The number of days animals were at sea and the number of ships which arrived, were very similar to last year's.

In addition, the attitude of the Ministry of Agriculture and Live Animal Importers remains one of indifference to the suffering of their victims.

On the positive side, we say that for the first time since we began our campaign and since the cancellation of customs tax in 2014 which cause an incredible boom in the import of animals, we see a slight decrease in the quantity of animals imported.

In parallel and not less importantly, the public is waking up to the struggle, and we hope that this year we will be able to stop the live imports to Israel!
