"I am a vegan artist living in New Zealand with my family of humans and animals. I have always loved to paint animals but when I became vegan, my purpose for creating art became about inspiring hope and positive change for animals. I try to tell stories through my artwork, about compassion and kindness - to counteract the visions of horror we see with animal cruelty and create a vision of how the world could be if all animals were treated with respect and care. Live Exports are a horrific thing for animals and I feel that it is a disgrace that human beings treat their fellow earth companions in such a way. I feel that many people do not have an awareness of what the live exportation of animals entails and I hope this exhibition can help spread this awareness so we can work to put an end to it. My painting tells a story of ending live exports and liberating animals from cruel and unjust treatment. It is my hope that this happen can one day soon."
